The lovely woman at the front desk of the hotel (night of April 3) was so kind and tried her best to help me out of a pickle. Her kindness is much appreciated! The hotel is simply gorgeous, and the service certainly makes it memorable.
The staff were good and attentive to our needs. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was good and the location is ideal for a short visit to Edinburgh especially as its a 15min bus ride to the centre. Free parking is available too.

We all had a delightful meal here tonight. The choice of menu is first class presentation of the food is top class. The food itself is amazing. I personally would highly recommend others to try this establishment you certainly will not be disappointed. The staff are lovely . It is a relaxed atmosphere. Will certainly be back very soon.
Having not stayed in the hotel but just experienced the function suite facility. Not being the host, I'm unsure where the responsibility lies, regarding the refreshments. I'm not sure if the hotel catered or not but it was lovely. The room was well lit. Although the large glass windows on such a hot day, it was roasting! Mid afternoon it was possible, when entering the venue, to feel the heat hit you. Like when you get off the aeroplane abroad, the temperate increase. Even with the doors open (not the fire exits) the room with the large glass windows had terrible/serious lack of ventilation. However, it's the weather, there's not a lot of control over the heatwave we seem to be having. It was just a bit frustrating as it was uncomfortable. The only reason that the 1 star was lost for, was the chairs. They were bulky and heavy and were far too big for the layout and other furniture in the room. It was difficult to tuck them under the table's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilet facilities were clean. There seemed to be ample staff and there never was any plates or glasses gathered up at any point. Enjoyed myself given the circumstances. The decor was pretty and well kept. There were lots of fresh flowers and generally had a good atmosphere within the staff on shift.

10 minute bus ride to city centre. Every bus goes there from the stop outside the hotel. Wifi is only free for 30min every day. Otherwise it is £3/24 hours. Free parking on site, if available. Otherwise you can park for free on the adjacent streets. Ground floor rooms can get a bit noisy. Beds are comfortable, and it's generally clean. But my shower curtain had a bit of mould.
First off, the staff were amazing! So exceptionally helpful. The room was tidy and a decent size and the location was good. However, we could comfortably hear literally everything said in the hallway, and whenever someone went up or down it.

Had dinner here. 4 of us. Lovely place. Staff were brilliant and very friendly, made us welcome. Food was superb. We all opted for Hunters Chicken which was well presented and very tasty. Apple pie for desert, served with custard and ice cream. Compliments to chefs (Dave). Didn't get waiters name but he is a credit to you. Will be back on a regular basis. Thanks guys.
Staff were lovely. Menu extensive. I clearly made wrong choices. My cauliflower couscous salad was crunchy but very dry. I did not taste any of the dressing. It was a large portion but I had ordered from the menu with a cheaper option. My dessert was very disappointing. I have never had such a small portion of creme brûlée. The ramekin was average size but there was about half a centimetre of custard and very little caramel on top. It was served with two small biscuits which tasted nice but there was so little creme brûlée I did not eat the biscuits. Overall the meal I had was very expensive. I was with friends and did not want to embarrass them by complaining as their food looked good. I had suggested going to this restaurant as I had found on a previous visit that it had improved but don’t think I will go there again.

Stayed for 4 nights at Brae Lodge. Lovely, clean well equipped en-suite room. Super breakfast with a different "special" every day. Wonderful filter coffee. Free parking right outside and a bus stop very close by so we didn't need to use the car at all to get into the centre of Edinburgh. Neil and Lesley are wonderful hosts. Will definitely stay again!
Close to city, easy bus ride. Comfortable room (bit small) Great breakfast
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

I stayed here for 3 nights in a full service pitch with a family; I was in a hired motor home and this site was extremely easy in getting acquainted with the ins and outs of touring. Although it was really busy 1 of the three nights it was very quiet. The grounds are very clean and the facilities are well maintained. There is a pub on the property, but I wend for some food at 1900 and the kitchen was closed. The bus into the city is a short walk up the road and tickets can be purchased in the office. I bought all my tickets in one day, as the buses only take exact change. The front desk employees were accommodating and tend to you quickly.
Well appointed camping and caravan site but very busy with hundreds of stands. However we felt there were not enough showers for the number of people there. We were only there overnight and had the last 2 showers getting up at 06:30 and saw a steady stream of people queuing when we finished showering 10 minutes later. Having said that the showers were clean and rich plenty of hot water. Apparently there are frequent bus services into Edinburgh from the campsite making it very convenient for a visit to the city.
